“ this tonkichi restaurant has been around for a decade or more…the food quality and service speaks for itself! have been here on many occasions and the standards of food items offered have always been high…can almost say that it’s one of the best in town! the crowds during meal time is a good indication of how good the business is doing. a special mention to service staffs: Miss Mon, Miss Leah and Mr Kelvin, for their excellent customer service and attention to details! the enthusiasm and dedication can be felt from their demeanour. have always enjoyed their warm and welcoming service whenever we dine here! kudos to the chefs for maintaining the high standards all these years and it’s definitely not an easy task doing so…they deserve much more appreciation and recognition! on a side note, for those who enjoy beer, the sapporo draft is a must have to go along with the delicious rosu katsu! big thank you once again to everyone at tonkichi takashimaya outlet for making the dining experience such a pleasure! cheers, the bearded gentleman anthony ”

“ The place is not too big, and it's always full. Luckily we don't need to wait too long for our table. The food is delicious. Love their chicken katsu, rosu katsu salmon teriyaki, and agedashi tofu. The ocha is free refill. One of our fave when visiting Singapore. Their service is quite good, they try to catch all the request although it was full house. The price is a little high but worth it. ”

“ Whenever visiting SG, this is one of my fav my lunch/dinner places. The shaved cabbage is so fresh that you won't mind asking for more. Btw the cabbage is refillable. The best is the sesame dressing and the super fragrant roasted sesame seeds for you to grind on your own. I like the adegashi tofu. The sauce is not too salty. The same taste like the ones i ate in Japan. I usually order the soft and non fat katsu: Hire katsu set. The portion is quite large. If you come in 3 persons, ordee 2 sets will be enough. ”

I mean, you can top up the cabbage salad and rice as much as you want, so I think it’s quite worth since you’ll definitely be full from this meal. The matcha milk drink is really smooth and creamy!
